Transforma workshop with Makea

After some months of not participating in collective building initiatives, my attention was attracted by the Transforma workshop with Makea. It took place in the mid July 2016 and lasted a week. Despite it might look a little bit short, it was enough to meditate about collectiveness and discuss problems and solutions about with people like Mireia, Alberto and Luis from Makea.
Definitely it was a unique and enriching experience worth doing.

AEscala book

The AEscala book is ready to be published. In fact you can check it out virtually and send me your impression of this experimental project.

For me it is a great pleasure to share our experience with you and to unveil an insight view of AEscala. This experimental project took place between March and May 2014 in the Architecture School of Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.

Impressions by Mons 2015

Visiting Mons 2015 was one of my most desired destinations during 2015. I just wanted to see how a European Capital of Culture manages a peak-year full of activities, finishing building cultural facilities and making a step forward in establishing a new local cultural policy. Curiosity was what drove us there – my friend and former colleague and I, both having taken part in Ruse bid book for ECoC.

Although I have read some news about an accidental start of the year in Mons, I was expecting something breath-taking, spectacular or at least, that would make me think. Honestly, I may say that we both were slightly disappointed of our first impression. Not only the general attendance was poor, but also the unfinished infrastructure was there. The good and sometimes funny casual encounters with some artistic pieces made our day in Mons more worthy, and of course, the 2 main projects that I can highlight, precisely because I was eager to get to know something oriented to the common people, to the neighbours.

Mons 2015 - expectations of a ECoC

Less than 24 hours to get immersed in the atmosphere of a ECoC, to get reminded a challenging work moments, to catch up with an old colleague that has become a friend after so many extremely difficult situations.

IVAM backyard love story

After many years of imagining, planning, designing and destroying, the IVAM surroundings had their awakening and of course, needed a good breakfast. A Breakfast with a lot of people.

Recharger

Yesterday I was at a Shopping Mall and after some unexpected chatting, my phone battery died. Thank goodness, I was born in the 80's, so I could survive without a cell phone. But then I remembered this interesting charging stop I saw several months ago at Brussels airport.
