Yesterday I was at a Shopping Mall and after some unexpected chatting, my phone battery died. Thank goodness, I was born in the 80's, so I could survive without a cell phone. But then I remembered this interesting charging stop I saw several months ago at Brussels airport.
I needed a spot like this at the shopping mall. Half an hour of biking will do me well for sure!
Then I remembered how funny it was to bike (and to sweat a bit) and all the people staring at you as if you were the brave person to try out a new invention.
In fact, the bike recharger was quite efficient. I biked like 30 minutes and the battery got 20% more of charge. You can read more about the company that realized that energetic project at: www.wewatt.be
It was great to spend my time (around an hour) of in-between flights doing some sport. One can do a lot of things at the airport, not only shopping or having a bite, or watching the smartphone, or another boring stuff.
Airports are special places of a brief encounter of cultures, of dreaming of exotic destinations, of anxiety, but also they are places that can offer you much more experience than it is expected. We should make use of this!
